Guys SM is releasing everything on 9 AM and 9 PM, the MVs will drop on June 9th, there’s even 9 new songs on the album, this is them telling us to forget the past and accept ot9 as the future.
I think the hyyh era is special to all of us. It wasn’t only the era were Bangtan became more well known and made a name for themselves within the industry, but it’s where they discovered themselves as artists.
There’s so many good things that happened, they all wrote lyrics, Tae, Jungkook, Namjoon and Yoongi composed. Jungkook did so many covers for us, so did Jin, hope on the street was born, eat Jin was born, they got noticed by brands and endorsed them. They won first on a music show for the first time and went onto win 1st 10 times. They broke billboard records, they became friends with so many idols and idol groups. They made connections with people and overall they just improved so much.
Despite all of these amazing things that have happened, there’s one that’s much more important. The relationship that has been built between fan and singer, person and person, us and Bangtan, that’s something that’s so so so special. Today, listening to them perform in the Olympic gymnasium arena where they’ve wanted to perform for so long, I felt nothing but pride for them. I’m so proud of everything they’ve achieved to get to this point and boy did I sob because they worked from nothing to get to here. What I felt listening to them sing is an emotional experience that feels as though I know them personally, but I don’t. It’s so strange how the achievements of others can affect you so much, and I’m really proud to call myself an ARMY.
What they did on that stage tonight was absolutely incredible, so let’s reciprocate this by helping them win awards, shows and sending all of our love to them.
Alright, the concert is over now and I’m an emotional wreck but I really need to write this out anyway. Even though the HYYH era is coming to a close, we are always going to remember it because of how much bangtan has grown as artists and just as human beings through it. They started off having to use their managers in the I Need U mv because they didn’t have the funds to hire real extras, and now they’re able to hire 270 actors for an mv (and blow up a car in it). I Need U brought them their first win on a music show, and ever since then they’ve been bringing home even more wins that they worked so hard for. They have come so far musically and they’re constantly working to create songs that might help ARMYs in some way or that might share a bit of who they are and where they come from.
Bangtan debuted with a small company, they started with nothing, and now look at them. Performing in the stadium of their dreams. They’ve taken us on such an amazing journey with the storyline they’ve created in their videos, but also their personal journey as artists and as people. The fact that Jeongguk, Namjoon, and Yoongi cried tonight moves me because we know they’re not criers. We know they’re good at holding back their tears and being the emotionally stable ones, so hearing them cry truly shows just how much all of this means. They’ve done so well and I am so thankful for everything they do for us. I’m sad the HYYH era is coming to an end, but I’m also excited for what’s to come because it’s bound to be incredible.
Thank you, bangtan, for taking us on the craziest ride over the last year. Thank you for inspiring us and encouraging us to just be ourselves and not to worry about what others think. But above all, thank you for the most beautiful moment of our lives.
